Luxair launches new line between Marrakech & Luxembourg

The Luxembourg company Luxair has launched its new air link Luxembourg – Marrakech. The first inaugural flight was performed on Saturday February 11, 2023.

Since Saturday, the company Luxair connects Luxembourg to Marrakech. Two weekly flights operate every Tuesday and Saturday. In a press release, the Regional Tourism Council (CRT) specifies that this program will strengthen air links to Benelux in addition to air routes: Brussels, Charleroi, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Eindhoven.

A round trip will be available on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The flight takes 3.5 hours.

Here are the flight schedules until 25 March 2023:

  • On Tuesday: Luxembourg City – Marrakesh, departure at 1.55pm from Findel Airport and Marrakesh – Luxembourg City, arrival at 9.50pm at Findel Airport.
  • On Saturdays: Luxembourg City – Marrakesh, departure at 6.45am and Marrakesh – Luxembourg City, arrival at 2.40pm.

Due to the change to summer time on 26 March 2023, the flight times will be slightly different:

  • On Tuesday: Luxembourg City – Marrakesh, departure at 2.55pm from Findel Airport and Marrakesh – Luxembourg City, arrival at 10.50pm at Findel Airport.
  • On Saturdays: Luxembourg City – Marrakesh, departure at 2.55pm and Marrakesh – Luxembourg City, arrival at 10.50pm.

The same source recalls that in 2022, tourists from Benelux recorded more than 247,000 tourist overnight stays with an increase of +480% compared to 2021 and a recovery rate of 75%.
